The assignment was to create an ad in support of a social cause that is designed centered around typography.
Approach
I chose global warming and decided to pursue the degradation of polar bear habitats to highlight the issue. I did hand manipulated typography to act as my headline and my illustration.
Results
The resulting image hides the silhouette of a polar bear into a glacier that is filled with my type shown with an icy effect. Snow was added and shown dripping to push the thought that they are melting. The colors and use of empty space were all deliberate choices in making sure the image had the most impact possible.
