Create awareness posters that compelled people to attend the annual Veterans Day Parade in downtown Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
The vision of these posters was born out of the idea that we should not only honor those that have served our country's military branches, but covet and watch over them. The juxtaposition of Scott Harben's beautiful images of those who guard the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and the statues and tombstones in the surrounding memorial provided a symbolic and somber union. The headlines compelled the citizenry to honor those who served by attending the parade.
In spite of a cold and blustery fall day, more than 1,000 veterans and military from all over southeastern Wisconsin marched in the parade. There were also a number of floats, marching bands and baton twirlers that were well received by the onlookers and supporters.
