The assignment was to redesign an existing magazine and demonstrate clear typographic and editorial design skills by including a new masthead, grid, type pairings, imagery (photography and illustration), folio, departments, a feature story, etc.
Approach
I approached this editorial rebrand inspired by the feminist outlook on self, identity, and culture. I wanted Womankind to reflect the strong women featured in each issue while still showing their feminine side.
Results
This editorial solution reflects the goals of Womankind while maintaining a beautiful visual style that both sets them apart from their competitors and is recognizable by their consumer base.
