Metropolitan Ministries wanted us to create a video that would highlight how their mission to serve those in need in the local Tampa Bay community has become even more critical, especially with a growing number of families needing assistance during the Coronavirus pandemic. They wanted us to showcase the essential services their volunteers were providing and how Tampa Bay was rallying together to offer more donations than ever to Metropolitan Ministries, so they could continue to feed, financially support and bring hope to those families in desperate situations.
Metropolitan Ministries wanted this to be different from all the many COVID 19 videos out there. They wanted it to stand out and not get lost in the same, typical, over-used pandemic jargon. Since Metropolitan Ministries is all about hope, we decided to make “Hope” the actual narrator of our video. In the process, we talked about how hope wasn’t social distancing but was spreading from person to person and touching thousands of people each day. In this way, we were able to tell Metropolitan Ministries’ story of hope in a very unique and powerful manner. With little to no budget and a fast turn-around, we had to quickly shoot whatever new footage we could and combine it with some stock and existing imagery. It was a challenge but the compelling narration by Hope really brought it all together.
This heroic, heartfelt spot -- told from the bold voice of hope itself -- was very well-received by the Metropolitan Ministries marketing team. It’s been used on their website and YouTube to tell Metropolitan Ministries story of hope and to encourage more donations and volunteers to help during these desperate times. The video has received lots of positive comments, assisted in driving record-setting donations and, most importantly, helped to increase the spread -- of hope.
