Manners & Co. is "dining etiquette training for modern-day living", offering courses for children and adults on dining and social etiquette. With an existing company and brand in place, Manners & Co was ready to evolve their identity and expand their offering to products that complement their existing courses, or that could be used as stand-alone educational tools.
Manners & Co. engaged us to rebrand their identity plus design a series of etiquette products and their associated packaging. We knew that the packaging had to be vibrant and full of energy, making the experience of etiquette training fun. It was important for the design and illustrations to be gender-neutral, not too childish and had to look at home on the shelves of Nordstrom, West Coast Kids, Crocodile Baby, Lusso Baby and Chapters/Indigo.
With the goal of invoking interactive fun, paired with limitless creative freedom, we designed a set of monsters to represent Manners & Co. The “mannered monsters” represent all the kids who need a little bit of guidance in the world of table etiquette. This design solution not only appeals to parents, but also kids who have a lot of purchasing power.
