Keeping kids engaged at the dinner table can be an uphill battle these days. Smartphones, tablets and a never-ending supply of stimulus have turned family time into screen time and we set out to take it back by redesigning the kids menu to not only make it and easy and fun for the kids to order, but to utilize the back of the menu to create more connection and less disconnection.
Red Robin’s Burger World does that by capturing the attention of everyone at the table. Common kids games were replaced with imaginative landscapes, silly tongue twisters, dance tutorials, and kooky conversation starters. There's even a hands-on activity that transforms the menu into wearable origami.
A vibrant color palette with a modern illustrative style creates an enchanting, isometric food utopia that embodies the energy of the Red Robin brand. The overall style was designed to be playful to appeal to the kids but with a level of sophistication to engage the entire family. If you look closely you’ll even find a few of their competitors waiting in line to get their own Red Robin burger.
The response from clients and Red Robin guests have been overwhelmingly positive with this purposeful tool for families to connect with each other in an increasingly disconnected world.
