Tyrant is set in the Middle East and has a very unique and specific plot, but its dramatic familial arcs and classic storytelling give us a rich landscape to derive imagery from. The second season frees us up to be a little less dependent on explaining the show concept and we can delve deeper into characters and themes.

FX wanted to explore more than just the desert, so we researched a lot of mosques, architecture and other images that make the Middle East so unique. The mosaic tiles that we ended on was extremely detailed while still portraying the power struggle between the two brothers. We all thought it turned out beautiful.

The campaign was a point of conversation amongst the creative industry and was truly impactful and eye-catching.
