The task was to create branding for a hip new coffee shop in Portland, Oregon. The goal was to stand out among a saturated market.
I used edgy subject matter of knives and skulls, employing the slang "killer" which can mean "awesome" but also draws on a growing trend of interest in true crime. My solution is playful, bold in black and white, and maintains a hand-drawn feel.
This project successfully accomplishes its goal by being unique and edgy.
