St. Clair County is one of the best kept secrets in the state of Alabama. With mountains, lakes, rivers and boulderfields, the county is a natural oasis, but due to its location near the bustling city of Birmingham, it is often overshadowed by other destinations. The Economic Development Council of St. Clair County engaged Tatum Design to create a new tourism logo that would help spread the word about the county.
Our goal was to transform a little known wonder into a popular destination for living, playing and staying. The logo symbol is inspired by the scenic views and welcoming spirit of the area. The county’s first and last initials — “S” and “C” — form an abstract silhouette of rolling hills, flowing water and sunshine. It is an inviting symbol with universal appeal.
The new tourism logo has helped put St. Clair County on the map. Once considered off the beaten path, the county is now poised to become one of the most celebrated and visited destinations in the state of Alabama.
