To create a beer label and poster for the newest DDH DIPA beer released from Marz Brewing. The name of the beer, "Battle of the Nuggets," is an homage to the 80s cartoon "Battle of the Planets."
Approach
We knew we wanted to use some iconographic imagery from the cartoon, but reinvented it with a modern take on the futurism aesthetic.
Results
We took the Phoenix spaceship used by the G-Force in the cartoon, but rebuilt the ship and rendered it with our vision fo the future. Custom "space" typography was used throughout all of the beer release materials, with "asteroid" hops traveling interdimensionally through space along with the ship.
