Le Sirenuse is a charming family owned hotel situated in the heart of Positano, Italy. Opened in 1951 by the Sersale family, their summer home was converted into a hotel with 12 rooms–now expanded to 59 rooms and suites, Le Sirenuse caters to a higher end clientele that travels from around the world to enjoy the beautiful views of Positano.

As I researched Italian signage and typography, I found a type specimen book that inspired the redone logotype of Le Sirenuse. The specialty "E" inspired a nautical tone. The coastal blue is drawn from the blue waters of the Turrhenian Sea that greets the coast of Positano. With the name Le Sirenuse, I wanted to make a siren work for the logo, but during my research I came across old Italian maps with illustrations of sea creatures intertwining with the seas that took me in the direction of the sea horse.

This rebrand of Le Sirenuse more clearly executes the overall tone of a modest, yet high-end experience through playful hints by lifting up the dream of catering to wanderlust and traveling to Positano.
