Natalie O'Hara is one of these women in German acting that have a very distinctive face, but she's very feminine at the same time. I did not want to make a simple portrait shoot, my aim was to bring out this side in a fashion shoot.
I brought up the idea of the shoot to a female stylist team that I had worked with before. Natalie has a very "German" face that sometimes reminds me of great divas like Marlene Dietrich, so we wanted to go a little bit back in time and we set up a "backstage film" set right outside on my studios parking lot. The camper was actually not part of the set, but fit the mood and the big red robe excellent, so we integrated it spontaneously.
Even though we had not planned it from the beginning, this really is one of my favourite shots of this photoshoot. Natalies expression is perfect!
