People can say “Don’t judge the book by its cover”, but for designers, a book can have an amazing content, but great covers attract viewers and gives them a visual taste of what the book is all about. The assignment is to design a book cover design for Hans Christian Andersen’s books that appeals to children (the main target audience)

Children has a very innocent and pure way of thinking, their minds are simple, not complicated like adults. Capturing this minimalism and purity of children’s thinking by making a visual that children would be attracted to is the goal of the design.

Three cohesive book covers with bright, happy colors and playful type for the title. Each design only have 5 colors in the palette, and there is only one object that represents the essence of each story.
