The Assignment: Create a logo for a regional neighborhood area. Research the area and develop a mark that incorporates a sense of the respective neighborhood and incorporates any attribute or distinction it might be known for.

My Approach: I chose to re-create a logo for Lake Arrowhead, which is located in the mountains just an hour outside of Los Angeles. Due to its relaxing environment, this region attracts all kinds of people such as families, couples, and friends just wanting to get out of the city. Lake Arrowhead is home to many different species and I chose to represent a few of them within the shape of an arrowhead, while using the text as its base. The colors that I have incorporated are muted in order to merge the natural forms with the calming vibe of the environment.
