Nimble Storage is out to upend the data storage industry. The objective of the campaign was to increase brand awareness among IT Professionals (daily users to CIO/CTO levels). We felt that OOH targeted towards the surrounding convention area would be a nice compliment to Nimble Storage’s booth presence at these two trade shows as the target audience frequents these events annually.
IT folks are used to working with large pieces of legacy hardware. Nimble changed this category with smaller hardware size, performance, and ease of installation. To communicate this changing of the times, we created Ned & Edna (who happen to resemble Nimble’s largest competitors), they’re two elderly arrays that have just ‘retired’ from the storage world and are living the good life.
The client also absolutely adores Ned and Edna and we’ve already brought the characters to life in animation, on swag and are in the process of life size mascot characters to crash tech events. We hope and believe that Ned and Edna have a long life ahead of them.
