Tinys Milk & Cookies is an offshoot of Tinys No. 5 restaurant, the sister restaurant to culinary gem Tiny Boxwoods. The new concept is the brainchild of chef and founder Baron Doke, who revels in the idea of celebrating the simple delights of life. Tinys Milk & Cookies required a logo that accomplishes this mission by reveling in the history and traditions of its home in the quaint community of West University, TX.
In order to differentiate the new sub-brand while maintaining a link to its roots, CRP took inspiration from the community of West U. itself. We fully submerged ourselves in the traditions and nostalgia of the community by learning more about the history of the restaurant space, which resides in the shell of an old general store named JMH. The store operated on a family tab system, of which local children took full advantage through the frequent after-school ice cream purchase.
CRP answered the challenge by developing a logo that maintains the same handcrafted elements of its parent restaurant Tinys No. 5. A hand-drawn illustration featuring a barefoot boy eating a cookie and pulling a Radio Flyer wagon evokes a sense of Americana nostalgia and youthful delight found in the surrounding community. The logo is further activated by alternating the contents of the wagon for seasonal or promotional applications such as holidays or special events.
