Attract people to a parade that isn’t about clowns, floats and candy. While people willingly thank Vets for their service when meeting them, few will go out of their way to honor them at a parade. The poster was intended to remind them why they should.
Approach
Absent media dollars, posters have proven effective in spreading the word via a grass roots effort. Volunteers are responsible for distribution in Milwaukee and surrounding communities. Posters also help reach the segment of the target not active on social media.
Results
November weather can be dicey in Wisconsin, and this year it was. Despite that, sidewalks were filled throughout the 2-mile parade route.
