Develop a concept and poster series to promote the 2017 RiverRun International Film Festival that will be applied to environmental graphics, apparel, advertising, social media, etc.
We developed a series of illustrations to convey the concept of seeing rare and unique film selections at the Festival. The fictitious animal illustrations were designed to invoke a sense of wonder and discovery and to suggest that the viewer will have a unique experience at the Festival. The collections of illustrations was populated across posters, environmental graphics, publications, apparel, and various other collateral designed specifically for the 2017 Festival.
The Festival boasted 16,798 admissions over 11 days in 2017, which was an increase over 2016. It was the first year in history that the box office topped $100,000. It was also the first time they sold out of all of their Festival apparel.
