Today, young people are vulnerable to extremist narratives, which play on their insecurities as they struggle to find their place in the world. Parents, teachers and school leaders on the frontline of protecting these youngsters need the right tools to help them identify and respond to the signs of radicalisation, and ensure they build up resilience against being groomed and exploited by extremists.
We created the ‘Educate Against Hate’ brand and online portal to provide essential resources, information and advice to help parents, teachers and school leaders keep young people safe from the influences of radicalisation. This carefully designed, intuitive website takes a typographical approach to allow users to easily navigate their way to the information and resources that are relevant to them. The site’s design and user journey was regularly monitored and tested in focus groups to refine the design, ease of use and content, to ensure it remained up to date and relevant.
Since the launch of Educate Against Hate, the website has attracted 135,659 users and gained over 384,915 page views. Across Facebook and Twitter, the campaign has received 9,500 likes, gained almost 4,900 followers, and earned over 26.5 million impressions.
