The task was to design a poster motif for the 21st Endoscopy Symposium, which followed the series of last year’s posters, but represents a new, overarching theme.
The creative process is based on endoscopic images that are placed in an expanded context of meaning. The creative idea is that the matter of the endoscopic image is transferred to the matter of the Earth. Similarities can be seen through the liquid elements, water and solid elements to the matter of the earth. The approach is also inspired by the fractals found in nature. Fractals mean that the smallest section of an object is very similar to its largest form. A tiny endoscopic image of body cells resembles the representation of the world. We are part of the world with each cell, the world is part of us – to be protected, symbolized by the stylized hands.
Feedback from the customer was that the doctors of the congress, who focus on the “smallest parts“ in their everyday lives, appreciate the larger perspective that is achieved through the graphic design and implementation of the idea.
