Makihara’s recent work was made using 5 post horns, an electric motor and piece of line. The horns are suspended from the ceiling by pieces of line. To see his artwork in the gallery of the Slade School of Fine Art, UCL, viewers have to look up at the ceiling. To make the posters we used 3 different layers of paper with holes cut out of the top page, which when lifted, revealed photographs of the actual art work as well as information about the exhibition. To read the information and see the photograph on the poster, viewers had to move so that they could see underneath the front cover.
