To create a poster that conveys links between the rampant destruction of the natural world, the severe environmental pressures impacting life on the planet and the resulting creation of new viruses.

The work uses a quote from Dr Peter Daszak who is creating the next IPBES assessment (Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services), effectively the worlds largest health check.

The intention was to convey his words in a simple, clear and graphically engaging way through type supported by arrows to suggest the continual movement between all living things.

My aim was to make this poster visually appealing to a wide audience by the combination of colour, pattern and text.
