Senior Thesis: This motion graphic title sequence was created for the film Upstream Color (2013) directed by Shane Carruth. Intended Audience: Film Festival attendees / people interested in Independent Films
Approach
The themes of the film were analyzed and condensed into a 2-minute long title sequence in order to entice the audience. I have created all imagery including the video footage of running water, photography and animated vector graphics.
Results
The visuals and typography are also intentionally blurry to evoke some of the same emotions that are felt from watching the film. Music and voice recordings were also utilized as design elements to enhance the effect of the visuals and moving type.
