The assignment was to design a book cover that would communicate the odd relationship between an agnostic millionaire who wishes to die with dignity and an eccentric, snake handling preacher who attempts to stop him.

The approach was to intertwine a black mambo snake (the snakes used in the novel) with a cross in a way that defines the very shape of the cross. Without the snake below and on top of the cross, the cross would not be visible. The stark black and white is classic symbolism of good and evil. In this case, it is the presence of evil that defines what is good.

This is a newly minted novel that is set to be marketed as an eBook on Kindle and iBooks within this summer. Print publication is slated for 2019. The cover is being used to generate interest in the book prior to publication. The cover has been well received so far and has been successful in creating interest in the Summer release.
