Designing the emotions of people listening to music based on their facial expressions.
This is a concept I wanted to try out during my years in George Brown. I wanted to capture random people listening to music, whether it would be downtown, school, or subway, and design their emotions based on the music they’re listening to and their facial expressions.
This project was a challenge because it was difficult to portray their thoughts and feelings. There were many obstacles overcoming this 70 day challenge, I had to first ask random people if I could take pictures of them which is about a 50/50 chance of them saying yes, then I had to ask what kind of music they were listening to and what point of the track they were at. I didn’t ask for their names because I wanted to protect their identities and make this project anonymous.
