My approach in photographing this beautiful car was my approach towards everything I shoot - keep it simple, keep it real, keep it organic. The last thing I ever want to do when I photograph cars is over-light, where the car feels unreal and slick. I hate that. BMW wanted to photograph the car in the typical, white seamless - and to me, sterile - studio environment. However, I was able to convince them to photograph this beautiful car in studio that had these wonderful textured concrete walls and flooring. I loved it, as it helped ground in a world that felt more real and compelling to me.
