I have been a big fan of the High Line ever since it first opened. The park is special because it provides soemthing you don't see every day in NYC. You are essentially above "NYC." I have photographed this park in every weather and on this particular day, the weather was dark and gloomy, so I decided to photograph the whole scene.
The building itself is interesting and with the dark gloomy sky, it was a perfect combination. This is something you don't see often and as a photographer, you try to capture different aspects of it. The lights emitted from the hotel rooms created an excellent contrast to the dark cloud and the shadowed building.
