Frankly, this was a very challenging project. Many elements need to be present in the product, both tangible and intangible: nature/ecology, creativity, education, young generation, etc. To transfer them into a visual logo message was a stimulating process.
I started with re-briefing and finding visual keywords for a new concept. From expanding the keywords to re-selecting only a few of them, I repeated the process a few times until I found something that I could work on:
From nature, I had: leaf/tree/vegetable bed;
From the cycle of life, I had: energy, cycling;
From vibrant, I had: colorful.
As for visual representation, I chose to illustrate the logo with freestyle hand-drawn lines as they can represent the genuineness and the creative spirit.
As of final resolution, the colors of nature in the logo are illustrated by lively, genuine hand-drawn lines that evoke a flower, a pinwheel, or leaves and windows… surrounded by the refreshing, generous and responsive energy found in the youths.
The used elements to define the brand identity were also very selective, from the workshop activities to related products.
