This was a class project we had to design a poster as an announcement for an exhibition at MOMA using design objects of our choose.

My design object was Chinese chairs, the approach was to make a statement image and creative typography that represent the Chinese culture in a very elegant and clear way. I wanted the message to get to the people directly without having to over think it.

The image that I took was a creative way of setting the chairs and making them the focal point of the poster. The Chinese calligraphy is a hand made calligraphy to emphasize and reflect the hand made chairs. The title of the exhibit The Golden Age of Chinese Chairs, is placed horizontally to mimic the Chinese calligraphy.
