Our client, The Dallas Farmers Market Friends, wanted their neighbors to know that The Dallas Farmers Market now accepted the Lone Star Card (a debit card that replaced the old food stamps program). Why is this a big deal? Well the unfortunate fact is that grocery stores rarely develop in low income areas like the ones surrounding the market, which means fast food chains and corner stores often become the only accessible and affordable eating options. This poster campaign was designed to let these residents know that a healthier option was right around the corner.
In the end, these posters turned out to be more powerful than any of us had imagined. As a result of the campaign and the local media coverage it garnered, Lone Star Card related sales at the market increased 600%.
