The concept behind this mark was the play on the company name: Tea Spill. From an early sketch involving a woman with a teacup and saucer for a hat, this version was created. The idea was to form a woman's face out of the spilled contents of an overturned cup. The project required extensive re-sketching and adjustments within illustrator to achieve the natural negative space of the face. The color scheme was difficult, but eventually the red and chai colors were chosen to create the warm, inviting feel that the company needed. "Didot" was chosen because of its whimsical serifs and details that mirrored the feel of the mark.
