Every year, thousands of pounds of produce is thrown away and rejected by commercial grocery markets due to blemishes and imperfections. We were asked to create a beautiful image with imperfect produce for an article bringing light to the wasteful practice.
Approach
Dutch still life paintings highlighted the beauty in imperfection, so that seemed a natural way to go.
