We were tasked with designing and animating a script font of a god or goddess name randomly assigned to us. I was given Sigyn, the Norse goddess of victory who was married to Loki. We were also given a font that we had to use to create the animated word. The font I was given was "Neonstream." Heavy golds and leather of Norse mythology, designs, and hardware inspired the overall animation design.

I decided to fix up the type so that the type looked like metal bent into the letters of the goddess. I also decided to add a snake head at the end of the type because, in her mythology, she protected Loki from snake venom and is one of the symbols she is identified with. I then created the riff of gold leaves to symbolize victory and used leather and distressed textures to add more design to the overall piece.

The project was very successful, creating the appearance of bending metal animating into the word with subtle movement to the background elements to create a fun and exciting animation.
