The aim of the first annual report for OSRAM was to highlight the importance of light, show strong growth in the lighting market and position OSRAM as a quality leader in line with the tagline “Light is Osram”.
We interpreted “Light is OSRAM” literally: the Annual Report cover page glows with a circle of real LED lights. The circle of LED lights is a key visual that represents the innovative spectrum of OSRAM’s products and services. Light is OSRAM – and Light is Life: The “circle of life” based on the key visual shows facts about light and how it shapes quality of life. A “projects circle” presents OSRAM’s lighting expertise. Features, reports and interviews on six reference projects show the role of light in various areas. The insert “The Future Begins – Now” presents six global trends shaping life and the lighting market.
The MDAX-listed company had a successful IPO. A total of 15,500 copies of the print report were produced. Number of shares after IPO: 104,689,400. The OSRAM stock price has more than doubled since going public in July 2013 (information from June 2015).
