New brand development for a modern diner in the heart of Over-The-Rhine in Cincinnati, Ohio. Jeremy Lieb, the owner, is a well-known executive chef, and approached us to develop the name, identity and look-tone-feel of his brand.
Approach
Cincinnati was settled in the 18th Century, so we wanted to pay homage to that by dressing these "Sacred Beasts" in 18th Century attire. There are actually three different beasts for the identity; a chicken, rabbit and cow. We plan to grow the family over time.
Results
The restaurant is the most anticipated eatery in the city in many years. It opens in March 2018 and the PR train is all over it, driven by the impactful typography and design system.
