I was given a cotton swab, mostly associated with a tool used for cleaning your ears. However, cotton swabs as a product are actually advertised as a 'cleaning product' used for reaching small, hard to reach places. To add the element of luxury, I concluded that I would create Calico, a company that sells cotton swabs with the purpose of maintaining your car a clean place, feeling brand new all the time. This would help the car owner keep places like between air vents, gear shift, and seat cushions. The messaging really ties this idea together, stating that a clean car is more than a nice vehicle - it is a method of enhancing one's confidence when approaching a new and important situation, meeting someone new, or trying to impress someone or something. The visual takes a traditional gear shift, and I added a "C" to the end to represent "Clean Mode," the mentality you take on when pulling out Calico to clean your car.
