I wanted to design a poster for an on-going series on the topic of endangered species.
This poster depicts a stork, one of the many endangered birds that are still being hunted today. The sun can either be rising or setting behind the birds, creating a metaphor for either hope or extinction.
Each year, millions of endangered birds are slaughtered worldwide by hunters and poachers. This image is my response to the devastating realities of these beautiful animals’ lives. I have depicted gunshot holes across a bird’s torso, in order to bring awareness to the unwarranted dangers these animals face.
