Plus Magazine is a cooking magazine aimed at women who have an appreciation for design and photography. The content is similar to that of the commonplace woman’s magazine but has been laid out in a contemporary fashion, based on the minimal amount of design elements and neutral colour palette. Photography plays a large role in the design of the magazine as many of the spreads are designed around the photographs. The content of the magazine ranges from cooking tips to recipes to interviews with famous bakers. Text and images are layered in order to create more interesting forms within the white space. Colour, typography and lines are important design elements as they help pace the content of the magazine and act as a distinguishing feature between sections and unite the spreads.
