The assignment was to produce a poster to promote the upcoming release of the independent film When She Runs. The goal was to bring awareness of the new feature film and promote the film as it made it through the film screenings.

The film is about a young mother of limited means putting everything on the line to pursue her dream of becoming a competitive runner. I selected an image of the mother (main character) after struggling to catch her breath. With her hands on her hips tired from the work out routine, tired from her failed marriage, tired of failure. The track lines surround her as a metaphor for all the things she is dealing with as she pursues her dream of becoming a competitive runner.

The film has scored high ratings from critics as an independent film. The film made its feature screening at the prestigious Tribeca Film Festival and has gone on to screen at several national and international film festivals.
