Our assignment was to create fun and eye catching design for our annual agency party held during SXSW. The poster and its accompanying pieces should have an immediate and bold impact on the viewer.

Using old, mass-produced fireworks packaging as our inspiration, we drew from brands like Black-Cat, utilizing bold imagery and a simple color pallet to let everyone know this party was going to be a real BANGER.

The result was a big success. Our official party mascot, the Party Ape, ended up on everything from posters, to party wristbands and even a 30 foot long banner that hung onstage behind the bands. The demand for the limited edition poster (hand-screened on site) was so strong that we have to do another run for all those who left empty handed.
