World Fashion Channel is an international satellite and cable network about fashion, beauty, technology, lifestyle and travel. I chose WFC because I have a surface pattern design background and always love fashion.
For my branding strategies, I want to create a new elegant look with modern aesthetics that attracts younger audience. The world of fashion is in a fast pace schedule, and people are always working ahead. I think the new brand identity also needs to be able to change instantly, and can be constantly evolved to accommodate new trends. For this rebrand, I strive to structure my brand in a way that exist and keep up with a fast pace schedule in the fashion world that can be refreshed to stay desirable, and is classic enough to last. Fashion is all about confidence, so I think it is important to pull that into the brand and I want this brand to have as much confidence as it takes to succeed in this industry.
The design of the logo resembles a W that stands for World Fashion. It is inspired by the idea of a continuous thread to symbolize the world of fashion. The thread is used as a metaphor that ties fashion world together. For the color palette, I want it to show the idea of attitude and luxury by using colors that are more bold, and also mixed them up with cooler colors to accommodate different needs.
My tagline for World Fashion is “Worship revolution, Worship evolution”, because fashion is always evolving, and I want to make a bold statement that shows confidence and attitude with a voice that speaks to history of fashion.
