Assignment
The Meadows Foundation Annual Report 2013 was focused on the growing issue of mental health in our society. Because The Meadows Foundation is a private philanthropic organization that makes grants to non-profits that are making a difference in people's lives, it always has a hopeful outlook on the future.
Approach
The challenge was to illustrate the concept of mental health but show it through a prism of hope. A butterfly was used to represent hope, and its color areas were removed via a laser cut. The first page inside the report was printed with a beautiful blue brain scan that showed through to the cover.
Results
The client was able to tell the story of the good work being done by grantees in mental health, as well as its other areas of giving, to its board members, employees, legislators, and non-profits. The response was overwhelmingly positive.
