To increase traffic, build brand awareness, and educate about services for CityMD, one of the fastest-growing urgent care providers in the New York City area. CityMD offers walk-in care for injuries, illnesses, and all of life's little ouches - with many convenient locations and no appointment needed.
This campaign strived to communicate awareness, consumer education, and availability - in a fresh way, for one of the world's most linguistically diverse cities, and in the fewest number of words possible.
Rather than creating traditional advertising images of a friendly doctor, the CityMD team decided to think outside the box, creating a campaign that was visually arresting, pristinely clean, and witty. Patients and doctors would not be shown; instead, the team took common accidents and visualized them. These visceral visuals are underscored by the bold humorous headlines, and the message is immediate: Something happened! Need a doctor? CityMD-for all of life's little ouches!
CityMD has been growing by leaps and bounds since this campaign started in March, 2014. These three ads appeared on subway, bus shelter and telephone kiosks throughout the city. In the month in which this campaign ran, visits to CITYMD increased 18%.
