To create a fashion statement using one kind of an object.
Approach
In a period of a month, I gathered 1400 tea bags, 7 buttons, 9 yards of nylon cloth then stitched them all together to make a rain coat. First I created a template of the raincoat by the arm, hoodie and body. They were created separately to be stitched together in the end. This idea came from a thought about wearing a functional piece of garment - a raincoat that brews tea for you.
Results
It is a wearable tea bag rain coat. It has been shown on madison ave 63rd St and featured on several media sources, such as the NY1, AmNY, PrintMAG and more.
This has also caught the attention of the tea company Lipton, that has sent me 15 boxes of tea and an umbrella to make them a "Lipton Umbrella".
