Japan’s leading eyeglass manufacturer, JINS, has set its sights on the international market. Part of its new brand identity, inspired by the guiding principle »Magnify Life«, was to introduce a typeface that would work well internationally.
Approach
»East meets West«: The new JINS visual identity is based on classic German-Swiss graphic design. These »Western« design principles provided the foundation for the development of the typeface.
Results
The result is a geometric font with a modern, emotional edge. The font weights and characters are optimized to ensure the perfect combination of Latin and Japanese characters.
