Lashlette approached us about a logo design for their newly established eyelash extension studio in Brentwood, CA. They had grown frustrated with the design process while working with another designer and were looking for a fresh perspective.
The budget was relatively limited, so we focused our exploration around a wordmark approach. Before design began, the client shared some mood boards that excited them about potential advertising and social media campaigns—each had a vintage, 70s feel to them. After some typographic exploration, we landed on a font designed by Simon Walker of Beasts of England called “Room 205” which we felt had a similar vibe.
The simplicity of the eyelash “tt” ligature is the kind of design solution that looks like it took very little time to discover—but in reality, the solution required a lot of exploration and refinement. The client loved it.
