The assignment was to create a new logo for a made up business and I decided to create a business that specialized in classic rock music and design the logo around that best represented the business.

The first step I did was to do some research by finding and studying images of classic rock, then come up with a list of words that best describe the images. I decided to go with colorful and electric guitar for my logo. Then I research colorful logos and electric guitar logos as inspiration for my sketches that I drew for my new logo. I decided to go with a logo of a electric guitar that is made with the word "classic" and the word rock on the bottom. The fonts would be a mix of a groovy and a hard rock font by using the groovy font on the first two letters of classic and the rest was had a hard rock font to it. Next I use an image of a real guitar to get the size and position of my letters right, then I experimented with different textures and colors for the final logo.

The result was a classic rock logo made to look like a electric guitar, that had a grain texture to it, a warm gradient of orange and yellow color and a dark background with a gradient that makes the logo stand out. I believe that my logo came out good because the logo portrays about what the company is all about and that is selling classic rock music to the public.
