We were asked to create a new vodka brand from scratch with a lifestyle approach reflecting a love of the outdoors, and the inspiration of a WPA era mountain lodge called Timberline. Hood River Distillers is the first distillery in Oregon (est. 1934), and Timberline Lodge was built on majestic Mount Hood two years after the distillery was launched. The area is world famous for its outdoor recreational sports and opportunities and the lodge is the second ski lift ever built in the United States.

The bottle is designed to reflect the era of the lodge and distillery’s early years. The vodka is made partly from apples (famously grown in the area). There are three different labels printed on real canvas featuring the snow goose design from the lodge’s weather vane, and a vintage skier and hiker.

The brand launched in limited distribution two weeks from this entry and has already sold out. There’s much more to come from Timberline.
