Citrus Communications was asked to brand and design a pouch for dog treats. The overall look and feel had to be premium, urban, hip and youthful.
The retail logo was out first hurdle. We wanted to make sure it would be fun, and thought bringing the dog’s tongue right through the O would do just that. In essence we brought the name to life, and visually helped confirm that the name of the treat wasn’t "Laugh Out Loud". Having the dog be seen through the O, also helped to reinforce that the treats were for dogs rather than their human pet parent.
Our strategy was successful and obviously consumers agreed. Sales are great and our client has been able to get into many big box stores with the fun, and bright treat packages.
