Pick a large company and rebrand its identity including logo and a full stationery set. Students must show at least 5 groups of applications: Packaging, Website, Promotional items, Uniforms, Vehicle and exterior building signage, Interior signage, Advertising posters, billboards and print ads, etc.
REI already had a meaningful identity design but it needed to be recreated for the modern market.
REI is an American retail and outdoor recreation services corporation. REI has a mission statement that reflects their hands-on philosophy of protecting the environment and empowering their employees and customers to get involved in conservation efforts "We inspire, educate, and outfit for a lifetime of outdoor adventure and stewardship." REI enlists volunteers from the REI co-op members, customers, and employees to build trails, clean beaches, and restore habitats. The new REI logo represents nature symbols, tree and mountain to show the original identity and philosophy of REI.
